Originating from Japan, Reiki has been practiced for approximately 2,500 years. The word Reiki itself translates to "universal life energy or force". Usui Reiki was developed by Mikao Usui in 1922. His development was focused on the concept that we live in a world of energy and when this energy flows uninterrupted, all living things experience a sense of balance and harmony.
I'm Hollie, I'm 30, and I'm a Level 3 Reiki Master. Prior to becoming a holistic therapist, I was at university studying a masters in counselling. I've had Reiki since I was 15 years old, and it helped me so much I decided I would rather practice as an alternative rather than traditional therapist. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have about it! I was very skeptical when I first heard about Reiki, so I promise any and all questions are welcome.
